About Mdpresso

Why we built this

Mdpresso exists because the common way of doing document tasks online is broken: to split a PDF or convert a Markdown file, most sites ask you to upload your document to a stranger's server first. Contracts, bank statements, medical records — all handed over in exchange for a simple operation your own computer can do in seconds. We wanted tools that never make that trade.

How it works

Every tool on Mdpresso runs entirely in your browser. When you split a PDF, the file is read and processed by JavaScript on your own device — it never travels across the network. The Markdown converter renders and exports locally too, using your browser's native engine so that Chinese, Japanese, emoji, and complex layouts survive the export. You can load the page, disconnect from the internet, and everything still works.
